I.R.S. Notice Provides Proposed Guidance for Protected Cell Companies
In early 2008, the Internal Revenue Service (“Service”) issued I.R.S. Notice 2008-19 which pertains to “Protected Cell Companies” and their respective protected cells. The Service asked for commentary in 2008 and is expected to make a ruling in 2009.
