Job Description:
Health Admins is seeking an experienced Insurance Product Developer to build and manage various health plans like MECs, fully insured, level-funded and self-funded. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, maintain plan documentation, and oversee participant communications. This role requires strong organizational skills and in-depth knowledge of health product design and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration of MEC, fully insured, level-funded and self-funded health plans.
- Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, and other applicable regulations.
- Manage plan documentation, participant communications, and annual filings (SPDs, 5500s).
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless plan operations.
- Handle escalated participant issues and complex cases.
- Oversee the administration of MEC, fully-insured, level-funded, and self-funded health plans.
- Analyze carrier data on complex clients and provide recommendations to account teams to help with the negotiation of rates and funding levels
- Analyze and recommend optimal funding arrangements
- Assist in marketing, analysis and placement of stop loss coverages
- Price plan design and product alternatives
- Assist in reviewing contracts, preparing RFP specifications, and identifying markets for proposals
- Assist in the workflow for monthly and quarterly financial reporting for clients
- Assist in negotiating rates with insurance carriers and other vendors
- Provide technical expertise, product updates, and training programs
- Follow industry development, changes, and legislative updates within all types plan administration methodology
- Conduct special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Management, or a related field.
- Health and Life Insurance licensing required
- 5+ years of experience in health plan administration, preferably with MEC or self-funded plans.
- Strong knowledge of ACA and ERISA regulations.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Overview
The Regional Sales Associate will be responsible for meeting sales productivity goals, developing new markets, attending conferences and other duties as needed to promote Nova’s sales efforts. The Regional Sales Associate must understand Nova products, services, client offerings, and pricing models. They will work closely with the Chief Sales Officer to build relationships and be comfortable and confident in conducting meetings with brokers, high level executives and consultants. The Regional Sales Associate will be responsible for the quality, accuracy and timeliness of all RFP responses and oversee the entire sales cycle for their prospects from prospect to close. The Regional Sales Associate will analyze potential client issues and provide a solution to meet their needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience in corporate sales/service, including experience working with providers, payer networks, or distribution channel management required, healthcare industry preferred.
- Ability to win new business with proven track record of meeting/exceeding individual business goals and objectives.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation. Any Nova associate who uses a motor vehicle in the course of their duties representing Nova must be compliant with State Motor Vehicle laws and must follow the Policy that pertains to Driver’s License Requirements as a condition of employment.
- Strong PC skills required including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize contact management systems such as Salesforce.com in an effective and efficient manner to document all activity and proposal generations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to develop cooperative working relationships.
- Proven successful sales and customer retention ability and skills.
- Proven examples of displaying Nova’s Core 4: Act with Passion, Work Together, Be Accountable, Build Trust.
Essential Accountabilities
- Build a strong professional relationship between Nova and the broker community to facilitate the acquisition of group business through brokers and agents.
- Increase Nova’s market share through brokers and agents by developing new strategies and meeting with brokers and agents periodically to review sales performance.
- Ensure accurate Nova products and company information is communicated through ongoing training of current selling brokers and agents and continued development of new agents. Monitor the market to remain competitive with other service offerings and activities.
- Support the RFP process to ensure that all requested information is completely and accurately provided, and responses promote Nova as the best solution for the client. Ensure all required timeframes and submissions are met. Provide support throughout the finalist process and close of sale.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, process management and analytical skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and bring projects to completion.
- Establish and maintain successful working relationships with other Nova associates and parent and affiliate company associates.
- Maintain detailed records of all contacts and meetings; create reports and sales analytics when needed; provide backup documentation, call sheets, and other information as needed.
- Promote and sell the organization's products and services within an assigned geographic area, product range, or list of customer accounts to achieve significant sales targets.
- Pursue sales leads; visit existing and new customers who may be of strategic importance to the organization; assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services; respond to more complex customer inquiries; negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
Hiring Compensation Range: $60,500 - $70,000 annually + Sales Incentive
