Jeffrey J. Auletta, MD
Chief Scientific Officer
Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR)
SVP CIBMTR & Clinical Services NMDP
At NMDP, I provide team leadership and strategic oversight for the organization's research programs and health equity efforts, including the ASTCT NMDP ACCESS Initiative. The ACCESS Initiative is a collaborative effort to address and reduce access barriers and outcome disparities for all patients in need of cell therapy involving stakeholders across the ecosystem.
Along with the Chief Scientific Director, Center for International Blood & Marrow Transplant Research (CIBMTR) at the Medical College of Wisconsin, I co-lead the CIBMTR in advancing the successful application of hematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) and cell therapy through observational and prospective research, most notably the NMDP-sponsored, CIBMTR-led mismatched unrelated donor (MMUD) HCT clinical trial portfolio.
Both my NMDP and CIBMTR roles involve collaborating with academic centers and industry partners in advancing the field of cell therapy, ensuring equal access to these therapies, and striving to transform the post-transplant outcome landscape by improving patient survival and quality of life.
